Founder story
- The problem (why Nextsix): Property search felt cluttered — duplicated listings, and heavily paid listings surfaced most, burying many genuinely good options. Agents were pushed into costly “pay-to-rank” behavior, which can also turn away good agents with desirable listings.
- The idea (what we changed): Build a more precise, organic search experience, powered by geo-location specialist search and an agent onboarding model designed to surface good deals more fairly in search results.
- Early validation: The first 1,000 agents onboarded and loved the model — they actively updated the latest available properties, which quickly created healthier variety for property seekers browsing on Nextsix.
- The hardest challenge: The classic cold-start chicken-and-egg problem: without enough agents there are fewer listings; with fewer listings there’s less user traffic; with less user traffic agents have lower confidence to onboard.
- How we overcame it: We created a first-adopter advantage — incentivising the early agents who chose to believe in the platform before demanding results first. That helped bootstrap supply, which then improved search value for users.
Hero proof point (as of Dec 2025): Nextsix grew from 4,000 to 13,000 advertising agents — and more agents means more active choices for property seekers, improving the odds that a user finds a suitable property faster. Read why Nextsix Exists here.
