Webest expands into Putrajaya and Johor while entering hospitality, with over RM500 million GDV and 1,000 units in its pipeline.

Expanding Beyond Malacca
Malacca-based property developer Webest Group is expanding beyond its home market into Putrajaya and Johor, with more than RM500 million in gross development value (GDV) and over 1,000 units in its development pipeline.
Growing Presence in Johor and Putrajaya
The programme will partially finance hyperscale data centre developments at Elmina Business Park, with Sime Darby Property responsible for designing, constructing and delivering the assets. The development is supported by a long-term lease arrangement with a global technology company, providing recurring income visibility.
Building a New Economy Asset Portfolio
Webest is tapping into growth opportunities in Johor and Putrajaya, supported by infrastructure improvements, industrial investments and rising demand for residential and commercial properties. Its Johor development, Southbay Exchange, will feature commercial spaces, serviced apartments and a hotel.
Why It Matters
Webest’s expansion highlights how smaller property developers are diversifying beyond residential projects and exploring new markets and asset classes. Johor’s growing industrial activity and infrastructure development could provide additional opportunities for property players.
